Today we applied our knowledge of simple sentences. As a motivation, we read the book One Scary Night, by Antoine Guilloppe. It is a wordless text. Our task was to create a paragraph for this picture. We had to use short, simple sentences to create tension and suspense.

I walk through the dark empty hall . i heard a terrible noise creeping towards me i start running but my legs slowed down . I wanted to scream but no one was there suddenly the noise seemed louder and louder i tried running again but all of a sudden my legs were glued to the ground. That was the end
I went to hallway to find that everyone was gone.
I saw a dark figure appear in the hallway.
I ran for my life but my heart stopped beating as I turned
around to see the shadow was gone.
I Went to a church hall and saw that it was gloomy and lifeless.Then I heard gunshots in the hall .Then I ran but it was difficult to run so I tried again then I felt a touch on my face.
One scary night, everything was pitch black. It felt so tingly that 1000 spiders were crawling on me. could not see anything but myself in front of a mirror. When I turned on the light bulb I heard lightning across from my room. It was so scary that i could not sleep so I ran and got away from my house. I was calling for the fire department but the power shut down and that's when I could not use any electronics and I felt bored
I heard something creeping towards me.I suddenly turned around.I saw a slithering snakes. Suddenly the snake turned into something I tried to run but something caught me.
